Americans Programmed Ineffectiveness

Here we are again another Sunday in America. The women are scurrying around getting the chores finished in order to continue on the all mighty Christmas shopping season, Black Friday/Cyber Monday. The men are steadily positioned in the arm chairs glued to the football games. Kids are planted in front of their video games or the Sunday cartoons.

I consider the thousands of tickets bought to attend the football games, the millions of movie tickets sold, and many other statics concerning how Americans "choose" to spend their time and money.

How did these actions become our priority? While I was looking for those statistics I came across this to share, The history of AT&T and Television http://www.corp.att.com/history/television/photo_gifford.html

Is what we are shown what we even want to see?

What have we learned from it?

What could we have learned had it been used more responsibly? Education verses entertainment, what effect would that have had on our society.

How could a country in the condition of China rise to super power status with the assets it had? Better yet, with the assets America has had at it's disposal how did we not use them to their fullest potential?

We have been too busy watching the wrong programing.

"Programming" Americans were programed with sugar coated nothingness showing us what was socially expected of us. Why would our leaders and broadcasters not program us the way the Chinese were programmed?

Like the word or not we all have been programed.

But why in this manner, why would they not want us to rise to our fullest potential ? Why are the educational programs like National Geographic and the History channel placed into "program" packages that most poor and underprivileged families can't afford? Why are the cartoons free? And have you ever compared the advertising/commercial variances for these programs? Pretty scary stuff when you pay attention because you can easily determine they know who is watching, the "targeted audience".

Some might say "just turn it off then", but that doesn't solve the problem. You still have those who can not afford that spend the majority of their waking hours glued to the television, for nothing more then a lack of better opportunity to do differently.

If our leaders wanted us to advance and honestly become all we can be/do they would have programed us differently. They would have invested in our own country instead of pillaging it on senseless wars, and they would have forced more productive/educational programming. They would have regulated the broadcasting agencies into showing what was beneficial for the country and its people. We must face the fact that "We Have Been Pumped This Crap".

Americans have been placed in a position to not believe what we can't see on television and it is pathetic.

50% of the United states (not including Alaska/Hawaii) seafood supply is no longer safe to eat. I don't care what the FDA, EPA, or any other government agency tells you, it is NOT SAFE TO EAT! Americans can believe what they are shown via the news reports or they can research for themselves. There are many reports/documentation proving this seafood is loaded with dangerous chemicals. Yet the average American has not a clue. Go to a restaurant and ask "where is the shrimp from" you will find that they have no idea what corexit is, especially if your on the west coast.

For decades the Gulf of Mexico has supplied half of our seafood. The very food we raised our children/families on. Yet a complete disruption and 95% of Americans, maybe more haven't a clue. Why?

Part of the problem is our programming, the other part is corruption and what we have allowed to happen to us by not demanding different.

I was pondering this morning as I evaluated the miserable Sunday programming on television and decided to Google "How China became a Super Power" because I really want to understand how they did what they did and how do we do the same here, when I came across... quote "Who do we credit for this rapid development? The capitalists who invested in China to make a quick buck? Or the revolutionaries who pulled China out of the middle ages, ended illiteracy, achieved the beginnings of industrialization, brought millions out of famine and an early death by organizing the masses to change their conditions of life?" source... http://www.workers.org/2009/world/dg_1203/

"Change their conditions of life" yep, that's the kind of programing I'm looking for. How do we get all of America on this Program is my question?

If there was/is a well thought out plan would American citizens get off their asses and take control of the corruption within our government? Would they boycott any/all corporations participating in this corruption?

I wonder, based on action it appears that Americans only care about what they can be entertained by or consume, or is our the Programming?

"They promoted the fictional character of “Rosie the Riveter” as the ideal woman worker: loyal, efficient, patriotic, and pretty (Yellin 43). A song, “Rosie the Riveter”, became very popular in 1942. Norman Rockwell’s image on the cover of the Saturday Evening Post on May 29, 1943 was the first widely publicized pictorial representation of the new “Rosie the Riveter”. This led to many other “Rosie” images and women to represent that image. For example, the media found Rose Hicker of Eastern Aircraft Company in Tarrytown, New York and pictured her with her partner as they drove in a record number of rivets into the wing of a Grumman “Avenger” Bomber on June 8, 1943. Rose was an instant media success (Dabakis 183). In many other locations and situations around the country, “Rosies” were found and used in the propaganda effort. A few months after Rockwell’s image, the most famous image of Rosie appeared in the government-commissioned poster “We Can Do It” (Yellin 44)." source; http://www.nps.gov/pwro/collection/website/rosie.htm

This didn't happen because Americans weren't willing to work, it happened because we were "programmed to allow it to happen"

Experts say no oil in bay | oil, evidence, state - Local News - ApalachTimes.com
quote "

Taunya James, president of the Franklin County Seafood Workers’ Association (FCSWA), repeatedly insisted dispersant was being applied to the bay daily by helicopters described as black or camouflage in color. She and other seafood workers claimed to be aware of serious local contamination.

Boudreau asked if anyone who witnessed the application of dispersant could provide an aircraft identification number or had taken pictures.

“We’re out there to work, not take pictures,” replied James."

I have a feeling they have angered that crowd enough that they will be out there with cameras rolling and if that's what it takes to stop there flights of toxic cancer causing dispersal spraying then so be it!

Gulf Coast hopes for post-spill boom from retirees

Gulf Coast hopes for post-spill boom from retirees

Where is the responsibility to our Elders/Seniors?

There are many reports showing evidence that region, it's air, water, and sea food are showing toxic levels corexit and oil from the BP oil spill disaster.

Is it really safe for our elders and seniors with compromised immune systems?

Is there any legal obligation for the companies and corporations misleading tourists in order to save the tourist economy?

I know it's tough times, but is money/economy more important then human life?

It makes me literally ill, sick to my stomach, and makes my headache to see such fragile folks being mislead for the sake of $$$

Enough is enough. The BP oil spill disaster is not something the American citizens asked for or deserved, but we must do what is right from here on out and that does not include jeopardizing our Elders!

US Government Emails Obtained By The Associated Press Through Freedom of Information Request

Let's see just how long it takes American media to report this story if at all. We have a lot of digging to do here American Citizens... Nov 25, 7:08 AM EST E-mails show struggle to guess size of Gulf spill Quote "The panel also previously criticized statements by President Barack Obama's energy adviser, Carol Browner, who mischaracterized on national TV the government's analysis about where the oil went, saying it showed most of the oil was "gone." In a new study published Tuesday, the government itself acknowledged that its oil calculations were never intended to "provide information about the impact of the oil, nor indicate where the oil is now."

The newly disclosed documents also described leaks and accidental disclosures."

BP Oil Spill Incident Commander Dies In Plane Crash With Former Texas Solicitor General and Prominent Litigator For Conservative Causes.

James Patrick Black 58, the BP Oil Spill Incident Commander and Gregory Coleman 47, former Texas solicitor general and prominent litigator for conservative causes die in small plane crash with 63-year-old Charlene Black Miller, who was the Assistant Vice President of Research Services at Texas A-and-M University.

I normally don't have problems sleeping, but early this morning I knew something was up and jumped online. As I skimmed a friends wall I ran across the following article http://www.projectgulfimpact.org/2010/11/25/breaking-bp-oil-spill-incident-commander-dies-in-small-plane-crash/

Instantly I knew there was more to this story and decided to dig deeper. I checked with a regular news source outside of the AP/Reuters links. When I ran across the following information in a simple search for "plane crash" http://blogs.wsj.com/law/2010/11/24/prominent-conservative-litigator-dies-in-plane-crash/

But wait a minute. These are "two" different men in a "small plane crash" in /near Florida, yet neither article was mentioning the other "prominent figure" Jim Black the BP Oil Spill Incident Commander and the other being Gregory Coleman, former Texas solicitor general and prominent litigator for conservative causes, why?

Then comes this article, now notice it doesn't say Texas, it says Austin and "nation" Wait a minute... Nation? "Austin’s legal community is mourning the loss of a stand-out attorney who left his mark around the state and nation". http://www.kvue.com/home/Prominent-Austin-Attorney-dies-in-Plane-Crash-110501779.html But again, no mention of the high level BP Representative in the plane.

Finally at 10:09 am WEAR tv reports the story connecting all three names to the same crash... except this time they added a typo which would make it hard for the article to return in a search for "BP" note~ The dash between the B and P ? Very interesting... "Black was a B-P Incident Commander, responsible for the cleanup effort in the entire Gulf Coast region." http://www.weartv.com/newsroom/top_stories/videos/wear_vid_12323.shtml

I'm sure the reason it's taken so long to hear the story is because these "controlled" reporters were waiting on their marching orders. As usual the independents have beaten them to the punch again.

I don' know about you folks but the "true" story didn't find me, I had to go find it. We must pay attention, become more aware, and be ahead of their game plan to cover it all up.

When NPR Recognizes that Social Security is a Ponzi Scheme By Reason Magazine (Reporter) Monday, November 22, 2010 8:51

Remember a few years back when George W Bush tried to convince Americans to invest their Social Security into the stock? We know damn good and well where we would be now if that had been allowed to happen.

Well guess what America... Our seniors and Elders who have paid into this program for years have been dragged into the largest ponzi scheme ever!

quote from article/link below
"Then everybody finally should. Reason, of course, has been inveighing against this massive government Ponzi scheme* since, oh, the magazine began publishing more than 40 years ago.

On Friday, All Things Considered broadcast an illuminating Planet Money segment which revealed to its listeners that there's really no such thing as the Social Security Trust Fund. It's an accounting fiction (which is a nicer than calling it is "a lie."). So what did NPR say?

Proposals to fix the deficit are coming fast and furious in Washington these days. One major target: Social Security.

Whether you favor cutting Social Security may depend on how you view the Social Security trust funds, which currently contain $2.5 trillion for retirement benefits. That's $2.5 trillion that, according to some people, don't actually exist."

Economics of ending poverty: 0.7% of GNI is all it takes! | Before It's News

Should We Contribute To Other Countries While American Citizens Are Starving/Dying?

America is burdened with a failing economy, the worst unemployment levels in over two decades, the Afghanistan war, the Iraq war, the ARM scam/mortgage meltdown, and the worst environmental disaster this country has ever experienced.

Now add "the ignored fact" that the people of the Gulf of Mexico/entire region has been poisoned with a chemical so toxic it has been banned in every other country, yet the American Government not only allowed it, but is involved in the biggest nastiest over-up of American history.

While I like the concept behind the story I am highly concerned for the American citizens needs.

Other countries might be in a better position to help then America is.

We are strapped and struggling. We are without jobs, without food, without medicine.

Our Seniors who served their lives working hard keeping this country a float are dying from lack of basic needs. Most on social security are living well below the national poverty level.

Quoting Margaret Bryan-Curole "America was once the Greatest Nation on Earth, now we are the Laughing Stock of the World".

Can we really afford to help other countries at this time, or is it time for Americans to focus on America?

National Outcry Over TSA Body Scanners and Invasive Pat-Downs

National Outcry Over TSA Body Scanners and Invasive Pat-Downs

Another Government Big Wig caught with his pants down lobbying for the manufactures of the TSA body scanners.

Does it ever end ?

quoting Councilman Greenfield from the Democracy Now "National Outcry Over TSA Body Scanners and Invasive Pat-Downs" article

"COUNCILMAN GREENFIELD: I think that actually is the concern right here. That’s a fascinating question. In fact, last year, right after the Christmas Day bombing, Michael Chertoff, the former director of homeland security ran around and told many news outlets including the New York Times that if only we had these scanners we would have been saved. He conveniently forgot to mention that he actually is the lobbyist for the two manufacturers of this technology. Then they rushed to get a $350 million contract to these two companies."

Goldman In Insider Trading Probe?

Why does it feel like America is standing on line for Mr. Toads Wild Ride?

After watching the Republican Senators block the investigation into the BP oil spill disaster who could maintain a gram of faith that Goldman Sachs will be held accountable for their participation in the largest insider trading scam ever?

quoting Matt Taibbi....
"Banks and other firms were leaking insider info about things like mergers to closely-allied hedge funds, who in turn placed the requisite bets on or against the companies in question."

"Today two fresh faced eager beavers from the FBI showed up unannounced (obviously) on my doorstep thoroughly convinced that my clients have been trading on copious inside information… (They obviously have been recording my cell phone conversations for quite some time, with what motivation I have no idea.) We obviously beg to differ, so have therefore declined the young gentleman's gracious offer to wear a wire and therefore ensnare you in their devious web."

Aside from the amusing detail here in which Kinnucan brags about turning down an offer to cooperate with the feds (I ain't no stinking rat!) the thing to note here is the list of clients he sent this email to. Those include hedge-fund firms SAC Capital Advisors LP and Citadel Asset Management, and mutual-fund firms Janus Capital Group, Wellington Management Co. and MFS Investment Management.

Those are some interesting MF-ing names.

Citadel and SAC, along with Goldman and David Einhorn's Greenlight Capital, were among the firms subpoenaed by Lehman Brothers lawyers after that latter firm exploded in 2008. The allegation then was that a number of hedge firms worked with banks and other companies to spread rumors about Lehman at the same time some of those funds were holding big short positions." end quote

From Corexit/Mercury to the FDA smell test American Sea Food is No longer safe for consumption. This is a crying shame!

Genetically Modified Foods: Harmful/Helpful or Should We Get Back To Basics and Grow Our Own Food?

While the American public comes to terms with the realization that our government is controlled by corporations who are out to screw us every way possible. How do we know what is safe and what is "Not"?

Over the summer aware Americans realized that Sea Food would be stripped from their diets for decades to come.

Now we are faced with the controversy surrounding Genetically Modified Foods.
Are they harmful or helpful?

How do we trust anything we are told after seeing this government allow big business to operate as usual with no consideration for the health of our citizens?

Better safe then then sorry when it comes to what we consume.

Too many Americans have no idea where to begin. Many/most have never had to garden for a safe food source. The convenience of the grocery store replaced our necessity to learn such things.

I recommend Sunset. Sunset was my number #1 source of learning materials when it came to gardening. Not just outdoor gardening, but indoors too.

My son was born 3 months premature and I spent the first three years of his life nestled inside the house as he was on life support in the home. I had a collection of sunset gardening books. One on propagation really peaked my interest. Before it was all said and done I had the education of someone with a bachelors degree in horticulture.

When my son healed I took that knowledge and put to work for the largest plant growing operations in Southern California brokering for 13 different growers, selling to Wal-mart, Target, K-Mart, Home Depot, and Home Base.

Sunset had a way of writing gardening books that made simple sense to me.

Although I eventually left the plant industry I never forgot the lessons I learned, that is why I chose Sunset to help some of you learn how to produce food for your family, friends, and neighbors.

There is nothing more rewarding then helping others, doing it with food makes the experience that much more enjoyable.

Propoxyphene Hydrochloride Poisoning

Report of a Case

At 9:30 am on Feb 20, 1963, a 15-year-old female willfully ingested forty 32-mg capsules of propoxyphene hydrochloride which had been prescribed for menstrual cramps. She was reported to the school nurse who gave her an emetic and contacted her parents. The parents found the patient drowsy but able to state clearly what she had ingested and the exact quantity taken. En route to the hospital she became progressively more lethargic and vomited a pink material on two occasions. She arrived at the emergency room at 10:30 am in a"

Bottom line... Our government has been aware since 1964 of problems associated with this drug. That's 46+ years folks.

How many years do you think it will take them to tell te truth about toxic "Corexit" ? Yet every other country has banned it.

Why are they getting away with it?

Because the American majority has allowed it !

So next time someone says to you "ah, hogwash, that's a conspiracy theory" tell em to go look for themselves.

Darvon and Darvocet Recall Issued Due to Risk of Heart Problems

Darvon and Darvocet Recall Issued Due to Risk of Heart Problems

"The popular painkillers Darvocet and Darvon have been recalled by the FDA after it was determined that all medications containing the painkiller propxyphene pose an unreasonable risk of heart problems. "

While I could go on and on about how Big Pharma has been intentionally poisoning us, killing us slowly, not softly.

The real story here is how did you hear about this recall?

Was it on your local news station?

I ran a Google search on the issue after the story caught my ear on NPR. What I realized about the search results was that there are barely any news reports on this, in fact to date the are only two reports listed under the news tab. See the results via Google news search http://www.google.com/#hl=en&expIds=17259,26474,27022,27692&sugexp=ldymls&xhr=t&q=Darvon+recall&cp=13&qe=RGFydm9uIHJlY2FsbA&qesig=FdAFTbU0uX_6fdmRn-m-3w&pkc=AFgZ2tmeTbbyfUCOqATYjWGF6sC7emRDGTY4Myh8xZi6OsFOP2nV5_7cIqGBrk7TZR0iyZMHTIBGutolKvRAah077NVteU-fAg&um=1&ie=UTF-8&tbo=u&tbs=nws:1&source=og&sa=N&tab=wn&fp=4b6b349a02a4ee94

The reason you can find so many returns on a Google web search is because attorneys want the effected patients to register with them. see the results here... http://www.google.com/#hl=en&expIds=17259,26474,27022,27692&sugexp=ldymls&xhr=t&q=Darvon+recall&cp=13&qe=RGFydm9uIHJlY2FsbA&qesig=FdAFTbU0uX_6fdmRn-m-3w&pkc=AFgZ2tmeTbbyfUCOqATYjWGF6sC7emRDGTY4Myh8xZi6OsFOP2nV5_7cIqGBrk7TZR0iyZMHTIBGutolKvRAah077NVteU-fAg&um=1&ie=UTF-8&sa=N&tab=nw&fp=573da4ec7e15bdf2

The issues with Darvon/Darvocet or propxyphene are no "new discovery" they have known about this for years.

"How many years" you might be asking yourself. How does 32 years sit with you? That's right America, the FDA has known since 1978 and so did the manufacturers.

They knew they were hurting you, in fact.... They were banking on it.

"The FDA indicates that it has been petitioned to recall Darvocet and Darvon from the market twice since 1978, but only now determined that the risks outweighed the benefits. One of those petitions came from Public Citizen, a consumer advocacy group, which called for a Darvocet and Darvon recall in 2006."

Who would do such a thing to the American public ? I will show you who Eli Lilly and Company see more here... http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dextropropoxyphene

I'm sure we will hear more as the case moves through the justice system (at least I would like to hope so).

The point is "They" are trying to kill/suppress us and they know it.

Bottom Line... It's up to us as Americans to learn how to take care of ourselves.

For too long our government/Big Pharma has tried to prevent us from knowing/seeking natural cures.

We can make things better for ourselves, but to depend on our government to take care of us is futile!

How to Avoid Genetically Modified Foods

As Americans we are becoming very aware of what our government is allowing to happen to us and our country.

So many Americans are asking "what do we do now"?

Quote "Whether genetically modified (GM) foods are safe or harmful is still controversial. Most foods we eat may contain ingredients derived from genetically modified organisms (GMOs)--everything from baby formula and food to our dairy to even our meat. If you live in Europe, avoiding GM foods is easier since laws require labeling. However in the US and Canada food manufacturers are not required to label if their food is genetically modified or not. As such, here are some guidelines for steering clear of GM foods in your diet, if that is your choice."
source; http://www.wikihow.com/Avoid-Genetically-Modified-Foods

That being said I will do my best to offer solutions.

Many of us are beginning to realize how important it is for us to grow our own food. Most don't know how to garden, let alone grow our own food. (and we wonder what happen to the home economic courses in grade schools?).

We need to get together with the like minded thinkers of our communities. Team up on community gardens, community chickens/eggs, and heck if you have the room get a community cow. Share the responsibility, share the feed, share the fruits of your labor.

Those who are looking for Non Genetically Modified seeds can review the list of suppliers below.

Who is/are "They"

How many times have you heard someone say "It will never change because "they" won't allow it" and wondered who is "they"?

Well we can begin here, with the owners of the Federal Reserve.

What ?

You thought the United States government owned the Federal Reserve?

Think again http://www.save-a-patriot.org/files/view/whofed.html

They control the voting process... one way or another.

“This is trouble for the party,” said Bill McInturff, a partner in the influential Republican polling firm of Public Opinion Strategies. He was an adviser to John McCain’s 2008 president campaign and this year polled for one third of GOP House pick-ups as well as nine senators.

http://www.csmonitor.com/USA/Politics/monitor_breakfast/2010/1104/Tea-party-splits-GOP-in-thirds-says-Republican-strategist

They control what you eat.

Quote from video notes; Doreen Hannes is an unpaid, volunteer media liaison for Morningland Dairy. Morningland Dairy was recently ordered to destroy 50,000 pounds of cheese.

Essentially, the police arrested the cheese.

This is not only an attack on Morningland, this is an attack on our food freedom! The government, once again playing god, has basically declared themselves the masters of our food supply.

They are controling what you see/know via the media.

Quote from story/link below; “As Vermont’s senator, I intend to do all that I can do to stop this merger. There already is far too much media concentration in this country," Sanders said. "We do not need another media giant run by a Republican supporter of George W. Bush. That is the lesson we should learn from the Keith Olbermann suspension.”

They are controling your rights to healthcare.

Quote from article/link below... Gov. Brian Schweitzer, who launched his political career a decade ago by taking busloads of seniors to Canada to buy cheap drugs, said the waiver would allow Montana residents to get the drugs at about half the retail price.

Schweitzer said the federal government can get cheap drug prices for Medicaid, the federal program for seniors and low-income residents, because of Congress' negotiations with special interest groups. Those prices are far less than the price for those on Medicare, which usually serves the elderly, or private insurance plans, he added.

On a long drive with National Public Radio

It's amazing what you learn when you listen to views outside of your own comfort zone. Yesterday was such a day for me. I drove for 12 hours, here is one of the most interesting pieces of information I picked up along the way...

The Wealth Report

Robert Frank looks at the lives and culture of the wealthy.

Why I'm here blogging.

Our lives go in cycles and my life has taken on a new cycle.

I have been very active in the reporting of the BP Oil spill disaster that occurred on 4-20-2010 (4-20 is an interesting date to research). I knew within a couple of weeks that Americans were not being given the facts or the "truth". I decided to follow/investigate the story with every hour I had available.

In the process I have learned more then I ever wanted to know, not only about the BP oil spill, but about our current political administration and the way in which they are controlled.

It's time for Americans to "take the time" to pay attention to what is/has happened.

America is not going to change without our getting involved and it's going to take "ALL" of us.

While this blog may be new my presence on the scene is not, that being said I'm going to get to work here on this blog and post as many relevant articles as I can find.

Feel free to share articles/comments please.
